Privacy Policy

GymScore is a personal fitness app for logging workouts, tracking strength and conditioning, planning nutrition, and tracking runs. This policy explains what the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we only collect what the app needs to work, and we do not sell your information or run ads.

1Information We Collect

We collect only what you provide or generate by using the app:

• Account details — your name and email address, provided when you create an account. Your password is handled securely by our sign-in provider and is never visible to us.
• Fitness & profile data you enter — workouts and scores (HIIT/cross-training, strength programs, benchmark and personal-record times), profile stats (age, height, weight, body composition, lifts), goals, and any notes you add.
• Nutrition data — meals, foods, and macro/calorie targets you enter into the meal planner and tracker.
• Run activity — when you use the Run Tracker, the app accesses your device's location while the app is in use to measure your route, distance, and pace during that run. Location is used only while you are actively tracking a run.
• Personal-training data — if a coach manages you through the app, the workouts they assign and the results you log are visible to that coach.

The app plays local reminder/timer sounds and, on supported devices, local notifications for rest timers — these run on your device. GymScore contains no third-party advertising and no behavioral-tracking or analytics SDKs that track you across other apps or websites. We do not collect your contacts or your advertising identifier.

2How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and profile.
• To save and show your workouts, scores, history, progress, and leaderboards.
• To measure and display your runs while you're tracking them.
• To let a coach you've chosen assign workouts and review your results.
• To operate features like the macro calculator, timers, and reminders.

3How Your Information Is Stored & Shared

Your information is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), which hosts the data on Google's secure servers on our behalf, governed by the Google Firebase Privacy and Security terms. Some data is also cached on your own device for offline use. We do not share your information with anyone except:

• Service providers (such as Google Firebase) that operate the app for us;
• A coach or trainer you connect with, who can see the training data described above;
• When required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

We never sell your personal information.

4Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and profile data at any time from within the app: open Profile → Account → Delete Account, confirm with your password, and your account and profile record are permanently removed. You may also email us to request deletion. Some records held by a coach for their own business purposes may be retained by that coach.

5Your Rights & Choices

You may access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Most of it you can view and edit directly in the app; you can delete your account in the app or by contacting us below.

6Security

We protect your data with database security rules that restrict access to signed-in users (and only a coach you connect with), and we rely on Google Firebase's infrastructure security. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.

7Children's Privacy

GymScore is intended for people aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above and post the updated policy at this address. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
